Following months of speculation, the BR game type for BF6 is at last releasing. Recent speculation indicating its release would happen alongside the new season were accurate. Gamers can jump into the mode starting very soon.

Season 1 Adding a New Map, Game Type, and Guns

In tandem with the BR addition, Season 1 is also kicking off. This adds a brand-new arena, a fresh game type, and fresh guns. What's more, Redsec is arriving. An included preview will be released at release, giving gamers a taste of what's to come.

Complimentary Access Allows the Mode Available to Everyone

Perhaps the most significant announcement is that Battlefield Redsec will be F2P. Similar to popular games, you won't require to buy the base game to join in. Several gamers have already tested early versions of the mode. These trials were held in a collaborative space, which the developers described as their most ambitious fan involvement initiative.

The adrenaline rush when facing another squad can't be found in any other last-man-standing mode. It's like do or die, and you actually care if you die or survive.

Despite being a snob previously, I'm now a fan of the BR mode now that I've experienced it.

These initial reactions from players have been very positive. Naturally, the experience may have been adjusted over the last few weeks in terms of game balance and pace. Still, early signs are positive that the battle royale could become a true competitor to popular offerings. Many are hoping that the most effective firearms from the original Battlefield 6 will carry over in the battle royale.
