Football Expert Chris Sutton Takes On Artist Murs in Premier League Predictions

Arsenal's ten-match winning run came to an end by Sunderland before the international break, however can the English top division leaders recover against north London rivals Tottenham this Sunday?

"{I believe like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a plan for this match," remarked football specialist Chris Sutton.

"The Spurs manager will attempt to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling finest this season - but Mikel Arteta's team usually still find a way to win."

Sutton is making predictions for all 380 Premier League fixtures this term, versus artificial intelligence, fans and a variety of guests.

In week 12, he faces performer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United fan.

Murs' latest record, Knees Up, is out on the weekend.

Football and Family Life

Murs is a talented footballer as well as a accomplished artist and has been a featured player of multiple charity football games over time - but he is not planning a serious comeback as a player.

"{I actually played in a benefit match the other evening for a mate of mine," he explained. "The side was trailing 3-1 when I came off in the second half, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you will!

"I continue to love football, but I hurt my joint a few years ago and it still hasn't fully recovered. I hope I could play more but the uncertainty of the game means it's too dangerous for me in my career to do it seriously again.

"Plus I am 41 now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am gearing up for the moment that my daughter or boy chooses to play instead."

The singer and his wife Amelia Tank have a young family, Madison and Albert, and he is prepared to follow in his father's footsteps by becoming their coach.

"I will not force football on our children but I've previously told Amelia that if they happen to get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will probably be managing their weekend football side," he said.

"I watched my relatives play a lot, and I really got into it, and I obviously owned a football club for a period too.

"My father did it with us when I was a child, which is probably where I inherited it. He managed our side for two or three years and had great fun with it. That could be the next step for me as well, and I am excited to it!"

Top Division Forecasts

Weekend, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

The Blues might have to be patient for their star's comeback from fitness issues but their attack is already more potent with Pedro and Delap both returned to fitness.

I still think this game will be quite close, however. The Clarets are disciplined and their only home defeats so far have been against the Reds and Arsenal.

It suggests a 1-1 draw to me, but I am actually going to choose the London side to edge it for what would be their third consecutive league win in a row.

The expert's forecast: 1-2

The singer's prediction: The Blues will be too strong. 1-3

Artificial intelligence's outlook: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Bournemouth have been defeated in their previous couple matches - although both of them were on the road - but they got absolutely spanked by Villa last time out which shocked me.

On the other hand, West Ham secured back-to-back victories before the international break and, although both of those games were at their stadium, they do look strong again.

West Ham's only away win this campaign came at Nottingham Forest in August, when their boss Nuno Espirito Santo was still that team's coach.

So, what exactly do I predict here - will it be West Ham continuing their streak under their manager, or the home side bouncing back?

I am going to go with Bournemouth, because I believe what occurred against Villa was a anomaly.

The pundit's prediction: 2-0

Olly's prediction: The home team are performing strongly but the visitors have picked up under their boss. 2-2

AI's pick: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Bees were considered one of the frontrunners for relegation before the season began, but they have surprised a few people under their manager and are in good form with three in their past four matches.

A family member told me to select Bees forward Igor Thiago in my Fantasy Football squad a few weeks back and, guess what, I ignored the advice.

The forward will likely find the net again on the weekend but I am nonetheless not going to select him or back Brentford at Amex Stadium.

The Bees have not had great success on the road this term, and the Seagulls are consistently decent at their stadium. Brentford will attempt to hit them on the counter-attack but I feel the home manager's side pose much more of a danger.

Sutton's forecast: 2-1

The singer's view: This could be a match where you expect there is going to be a lot of scores but it actually proves to be rather close. 1-1

AI's prediction: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

It is a huge game for the Cottagers, who have suffered defeat in five of their last six games.

They have have plenty of quality in their squad but it nonetheless seems like they could be sucked into a relegation fight.

As for the Black Cats, well they are the surprise package of the top flight season so far.

The away side's performance in the two-all draw with the Gunners last time out was excellent. We've not seen anyone else rough up the North London side like that this season, and Sunderland were more than a match for them.

The sensible thing would be to support the Black Cats here, because they are obviously capable of disrupting the hosts up too and, the previous occasion they were in west London, they defeated Chelsea at the close of last month.

However I am not choose that. Rather, I truly need to continue opposing Sunderland with my forecasts. I am taking a lot of responsibility for their good results because they evidently love to defy my predictions.

Looking at the home side's at Craven Cottage record, the only team they have been defeated by is the league leaders. Marco Silva's side will be absolutely desperate for a good outcome, so I am going to say they will pick up three points.

The expert's forecast: 1-0

Olly's prediction: I know the visitors are doing well and additionally that the hosts are on a poor run... but Fulham have still been decent at home this campaign. 2-0

The algorithm's outlook: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

This is a hard one to predict. The Reds have suffered seven of their past 10 matches in all competitions, but might they be one of the teams who profit from the {international break|
