The House investigative committee has published a set of around 70 photographs obtained from the property of late found guilty sexual predator Jeffrey Epstein.

This constitutes the third such publication from a cache of in excess of 95,000 photographs the body has secured from Epstein's estate. It features pictures of passages from the novel Lolita scrawled across a female's body, and obscured pictures of women's foreign passports.

This disclosure occurs mere hours before the 19th of December cut-off for the Justice Department to disclose all files related to its probe into Epstein.

"These photographs bring up more queries about what exactly the DOJ has in its holdings," said the ranking member of the committee, Robert Garcia.

What's in the Photographs Disclosed

Several of the photographs published on recently depict Epstein conversing with academic and activist Noam Chomsky inside a personal aircraft; Bill Gates positioned next to a woman whose identity is obscured; Steve Bannon seated at a table opposite Epstein, and ex- Alphabet president Sergey Brin at a dinner gathering.

These are the most recent wealthy, powerful figures to be pictured in Epstein property images disclosed by the House Oversight Committee - formerly released images also include US President Donald Trump and former president Bill Clinton, as well as film director Woody Allen, ex- US Treasury Secretary Larry Summers, lawyer Alan Dershowitz, Andrew Mountbatton-Windsor, and other figures.

Showing up in the images is not evidence of any wrongdoing, and several of the featured figures have stated they were never involved in Epstein's unlawful actions.

In a press release released with the photo publication, Lawmakers on the US House Oversight Committee stated the Epstein estate did not offer explanatory details or timings for the photographs.

"Photographs were picked to furnish the general populace with openness into a representative sample of the images received from the property, and to give perspectives into Epstein's associates and his profoundly disturbing behavior," the announcement states.

The disclosure also contains a number of photos of passages from the Vladimir Nabokov book Lolita inscribed in black ink across several locations of a woman's body, including her torso, feet, pelvis, and spine. Lolita tells the account of a adolescent who was manipulated by a older literature professor.

One quote from the work scrawled across a female's torso states, "Lolita: the point of the tongue traveling of three steps down the palate to land, at three, on the teeth".

The release also contains a collection of photographs of female travel documents and official papers from nations worldwide, including Lithuania, Russia, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine.

Most of the information on the papers, such as names and DOBs, is censored but the committee indicated in a press release that the travel documents pertain to "women whom Jeffrey Epstein and his conspirators were engaging".

A further photo depicts Epstein sitting at a desk intimately surrounded by three women whose faces have been censored - one individual has her palm on Epstein's torso under his garment, and a second is leaning to look at a close-by computer. Epstein appears to be assisting the third individual put on a piece of jewelry.

Another photograph made public is a capture of SMS messages from an unidentified person who states they have been provided "some girls" and are requesting "$$1,000 for each individual".

Photograph Disclosure Arrives Before DOJ Deadline

The panel has thousands of images in its possession from the Epstein property, which are "both graphic and everyday," its announcement on recently noted.

The House Oversight Committee first issued a subpoena to the estate of Epstein, who died in a New York correctional facility in 2019 while pending legal proceedings on accusations of sex trafficking, in August.

The images and files the Epstein estate submitted to the panel are different than what is often termed "Epstein-related records". That material are documents under the Department of Justice's control associated with its independent inquiry into Epstein.

Under the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which the President signed into law recently, the DOJ has until 19 December to publish its files. The scope of what is contained in the DOJ's records is not publicly known, and it's expected that a large amount of the content will be heavily obscured, akin to Congressional documents
