'The all-time low': Donald Trump rails against Time's 'extremely poor' cover photo.

This is a positive story in a periodical that Trump has consistently praised – with one exception. The magazine's cover photo, Trump declared, ""might be the most terrible in history".

Time's paean to the president's involvement in mediating a truce for Gaza, featured on its November 10 cover, was presented alongside a photograph of Trump shot from a low angle while the sun behind his head.

The result, the president asserts, is "super bad".

"The publication wrote a quite favorable story about me, but the photo may be the Worst of All Time", Trump wrote on his preferred network.

“My hair was obscured, and then there was an object above my head that seemed like a hovering crown, but very tiny. Truly strange! I have consistently disliked being captured from low angles, but this is a awful image, and it deserves to be called out. Why did they choose this, and why?”

Trump has made obvious his ambition to feature on Time magazine's front page and did so four times last year. This fixation has extended to the president's resorts – previously, the publication requested to remove fake issues on display at some of his properties.

This issue's photograph was shot by Graeme Sloane for Bloomberg at the White House on October 5.

The shot's viewpoint highlighted negatively his chin and neck area – an opening that the governor of California Gavin Newsom did not miss, with his press office sharing an altered image with the criticized section obscured.

{The hostages from Israel detained in Gaza have been released under the initial stage of Donald Trump's peace plan, together with a freeing of Palestinian inmates. This agreement may become a defining accomplishment of his next term, and it could mark a pivotal moment for the Middle East.

At the same time, a defense of his portrayal has been offered by a surprising origin: the spokesperson at Russia’s ministry of foreign affairs intervened to denounce the "damaging" picture decision.

It's amazing: a image says more about those who selected it than about the individual pictured. Just unwell persons, people obsessed with malice and resentment –maybe even degenerates – could have selected such an image", the official posted on Telegram.

"And given the complimentary photos of President Biden that the same publication used on the cover, notwithstanding his health issues, the situation is self-revealing for the magazine", she said.

The answer to the president's inquiries – what were Time’s editors doing, and why? – could be related to innovatively depicting a feeling of authority says a picture editor, an Australian publication's photo editor.

The photograph technically technically is good," she explains. "They selected this photo because they wanted trump to look heroic. Looking up at a person creates an impression of their grandeur and Trump’s face actually looks reflective and almost somewhat divine. It’s not often you see images of the president in such a serene moment – the photo appears gentle."

Trump’s hair looks erased because the light from behind has bleached that section of the image, generating a radiant circle, she adds. Even though the article's title marries well with the president's look in the image, "it's impossible to satisfy the subject matter."

Few people appreciate being shot from underneath, and while all of the artistic aspects of the image are very strong, the appearance are unflattering."

The publication contacted the magazine for comment.
