The co-creator of Call of Duty, who helped create the immensely successful franchise Call of Duty, has died in a traffic collision in Los Angeles, California he was 55 years old.

The tragic news was verified by Electronic Arts, which owns Respawn Entertainment, the video game company which he helped establish.

The influential industry figure passed away following his car crashed and was engulfed in flames on a freeway in the Los Angeles area on Sunday, according to.
